Senators and Executive Board members,
The Institute Committee Nominations process for 2010-2011 will be under way
soon. I have not seen many applications from members of Senate and Exec and
would like to encourage you all to consider applying to be a student
representative on Institute Committees. It is another great way to get
involved with MIT. Please feel free to contact the nominations committee (
ua-nomcomm@mit.edu) if you have any questions.
Best,
-Maggie

Hey Undergrads,
Interested in getting more involved with the Institute and shaping decision
making at MIT? Serving on a Presidential or Faculty Committee as an
undergraduate student enables you to impact important decisions made by the
Institute. You will serve as a voting member of a committee that advises
faculty and administration, and ultimately reports to President Susan
Hockfield. This is a great opportunity to make sure that the voice of you
and your peers is heard. MIT Institute Committees deal with a variety of key
issues on campus, ranging anywhere from educational policy to student life
to budget cuts.
The UA Nominations Committee is looking for representatives to serve for the
2010-2011 school year. If you think you would be interested in serving on an
Institute Committee, please fill out the application on the Nominations
Committee website (http://ua.mit.edu/committees/nomcomm/apply/) by *March
31st, 2010*. Current representatives can state their interest in continuing
to serve by filling out the current reps form at
http://ua.mit.edu/committees/nomcomm/currentreps/ no later than *April 2nd,
2010*. Interviews will be held *April 3rd and 4th, 2010* so be sure to keep
a few hours free in your schedule.
As always, feel free to contact the UA Nominations Committee (
ua-nomcomm@mit.edu) if you have any questions and/or feedback.
Enjoy Spring Break,
Maggie Delano
