Don't quote me on this, because I absolutely don't have the authoritative
answer to your question. But, based on what I've observed so far...
Senior House is not going to be rented out for the summer. Imagine you're
the administration, and some corporation tells you they'll give you $1
million to rent an entire dorm for the summer. (they're going to want
everyone in one place, so no, if they want 300 rooms it's not really
practical to rent out a portion of each house) Are you going to put them in
Senior House, which has been smoked in, has offensive things painted
everywhere, and has a strong dorm culture that would cause a lot of headache
to disrupt? Or are you going to put them in Simmons, which is relatively
new, non-smoking, and has no dorm culture so there's nothing to disrupt?
I'm not sure how many dorms they're thinking about renting out, but of the
available options, I'm going to go ahead and assume that SH is near the
bottom of the list.
Also, everything I've heard/read up to this point has indicated that
students will be able to block, or stick together, wherever they end up.
