Hello exec,
Earlier in the semester I requested and received funding for a poetry
competition I held, which culminates in a publication made available for
free to students. I received $300 in funding, and was given the option of
requesting another $500 to make up for funding I did not receive from the
Council of the Arts at MIT. I have been trying to get in contact with the
UA for about a month to request the further $500 and to figure out how to
receive the funding, but have had no luck. Hence an email to ua-exec.
The competition closed May 1st, the selected and winning poems have been
chosen, and there is a reception this Thursday to announce the winners. I'm
currently in the process of figuring out the details for the publication.
It looks like I should be able to print the chapbooks at copytech for
~$1.50 each. This mean that the extra $500 will allow me to print 300 more
chapbooks, for a total of 800 free books; close to my original goal of 1000
free books.
My sources for budget is copied below. Please let me know how to proceed.
