Greetings on behalf of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Caribbean Club! The MIT Caribbean Students=92 Conference brings together an=

creates a network of Caribbean college students in northeastern America. Th=
e
theme for this year=92s Conference will be =93Engineering a Brighter Future=
=94
approaching issues in the Caribbean=92s socio-economic framework from the
solutions-based perspective of MIT.The 2nd MIT Caribbean Students=92
Conference will be an example of how the Institute is taking an active role
in leading the way toward technological progress. Conference website can be

The MIT Caribbean Club will use the conference as a vehicle to generate
solutions that effectively aid in regional development. By increasing
awareness of socio-economic issues in an environment rich with technologica=
l
advancement and research, the conference will help lead the Caribbean into
greater levels of prosperity.
The Conference will feature a keynote address by the *Honorable Prime
Minister Denzil Douglas of St. Kitts and Nevi**s*. There will also be
workshops in a think tank format, creatively using facts, parallel thinking
and critical thought to generate, like a breath of fresh air, new ideas in

Important in creating this effect is making the conference open not only to
Caribbean students, but people from all walks interested in the issues bein=
