Dear all,
Several students at MIT are holding a benefit showcase for Haiti on
January 29th. We are looking for volunteers to help plan the event and
run the show the day of. If you are interested, please contact me at

Dear Members of the Boston Community,
The earthquake that occurred in Haiti, on January 12, 2010 was one of
the most disastrous events in Haitian history. Boston and Cambridge
have a very vibrant and strong Haitian community that has supported
our events in the past. In this time of need, we are asking the Black
Community in Boston to come together to help our brothers and sisters
in Haiti. We are planning a benefit showcase on January 29th at 7pm at
the Kresge Auditorium at MIT. The show will consist of acts from all
over Boston. While the event is free, a donation of at least $5 will
be required. All of the proceeds will go to a charitable organization
working on the Haiti relief effort (e.g. Doctors Without Borders, The
World Programme, and others). We are looking to host a conference call
with interested student groups on Thursday, January 21, 2009 at 8pm.
We currently have some funds committed, but we may need your help in
securing more. More importantly, we will need your assistance in
identifying performers, recruiting volunteers and other logistical
planning. We are looking for 12 to 15 acts for this show. If you
would like to participate in the conference call, please contact Kamil
Gedeon or Dylon Rockwell (our contact information is below). As the
Haitian Coat of Arms says, "L'Union Fait La Force" or Strength Through
Unity. We hope this venture is appealing to you, and look forward to
hearing from you!
