I've installed a Linux freeware evaluation version of the CadSoft
eagle cicuit board design application on Athena. Although limited in
some ways, this version is fully functional and can be used to design
small boards. To run it:
add eaglecad
eagle
You will need to set the PRINTER environment variable to a suitable
printer before you run it. There is online html help viewable in an
internal browser, and a pdf tutorial in file
/mit/eaglecad_v4.09/tutorial-eng.pdf. Various README* files in the
same directory as the tutorial have additional information. There is
also a man page ("man eagle").
