I've updated the JBuilder Personal Edition Java development environment on
Athena to release 8 for Linux and Sun. It comes with an internally supplied
JDK, version 1.4.1 for this release. From my message to users:

JBuilder 8 Personal Edition is now available on Athena for Sun and Linux.
To run it now:

	add jbuilder
	jbuilder -ver 8.0 &

We don't plan to make this version the Athena default until the end of
the Spring 2003 semester.

You can get pointers to documentation and release notes from the What
Runs Where listing at http://web.mit.edu/acs/www/languages.html#JBuilder

Most of the previous problems JBuilder had with AFS are gone, due to
changes in JBuilder and in our AFS configuration. As before, The
default location for your projects is a directory jbproject within
your home directory. Jbuilder 8 also creates a small, hidden directory
containing configuration files- this is normally .jbuilder8 in your
home directory, but as this is platform-dependent, .jbuilder8 is made
a symbolic link to one of two platform-dependent hidden directories
for Sun or Linux.
