I've installed xmms, a graphical audio file player, similar to winamp, in the
outland locker for Linux, Solaris, and Irix. It supports the playing of .mp3, .wav,
.mod, .au, and .ogg (Linux only for now) files, and also supports cd audio.

Note that on Linux cluster machines, an earlier version of xmms, 1.2.4, is
installed locally in /usr/bin , though there shouldn't be too many user noticeable
differences between the versions.

If you have any questions (or problems), send mail to bug-outland@mit.edu
