MATLAB on Athena has been updated to 9.0. From my message to users:
MATLAB 9.0 has been installed (they also call it R2016a). Release notes
are at
http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/release-notes.html
Additional information is at
https://web.mit.edu/matlab_v9.0/README.athena
To run 9.0 now:
add matlab
matlab -ver 9.0 (terminal window interface)
matlab -ver 9.0 -desktop (Java GUI)
MATLAB 9.0 may print messages like
Warning:
followed by extended warning messages in the launch window and at exit.
As far as we know at this time these are spurious and may be ignored.
It will be made the default version after the end of the current
semester.
