I've installed MATLAB 8.2 (R2013b) on Athena. It will be made the
default after the end of the Fall term. From my message to users:
Matlab 8.2 has been installed (they also call it R2013b). Many of the
Toolboxes have been updated (use Matlab "ver" command for versions).
lpsolve documentation is at:

A set of emacs modes is available in the newemacs/matlab-emacs
subdirectory; see

Release notes are available in the internal help system, or at the
Mathworks Web site:

Known issue: in the internal help browser, external http links and
printing may not work. Workaround: go to
http://www.mathworks.com/help/index.html with your browser.
To run 8.2 now:
add matlab
matlab -ver 8.2
It will be made the default version after the end of the current term.
