I've updated R on Athena to 3.0.1. From my message to users:
R 3.0.1 is now available and has been made the default (type: "add r; R"
to run it). To run the RStudio GUI:
add r
rstudio

To run the prior 2.15.1 release now:
add r
R -ver 2.15.1
For new features see http://cran.r-project.org/src/base/NEWS
