I've reinstalled sml (Standard ML of New Jersey) in the smlnj and
smlnj_v110.75 lockers. sml is a functional programming language that
includes a compiler, interactive interpreter and various tools that
extend its functionality. It used to be a Ubuntu package but this was
dropped in the precise Ubuntu release.
To run the interactive environment:
add smlnj
sml
There is an emacs mode that can be accessed by starting emacs as:
smlemacs
after adding the smlnj locker. Once the emacs window opens, M-x sml-mode
will invoke the sml mode, and C-c C-s <ret> will split the window in
two, giving you an sml prompt in the second buffer.
