I've updated Julia on Athena to the development release above. Julia is
an MIT-developed high level language for technical computing that
provides a compiler, distributed parallel execution, numerical accuracy
and a mathematical function library.

to run it:

add julia

julia (for an interactive session)

or

julia file.jl (to run a job defined by the script file.jl)

>From my message to users:

Julia has been updated to the current git release as of 1/24/13 (version
number above).

A pdf manual is at http://web.mit.edu/julia_v1.24.13/JuliaLanguage.pdf
and there is a detailed man page: add julia_v1.24.13; man julialanguage
which are current for this release.
