I've updated the Go language compilers on Athena to 1.0.1, for the 1.0
Go release. Both the gc and gccgo compilers are available. The gc
compilers are now accessed via the "go" command instead of the former
separate compile and link commands (8g, 6g, 8l, 6l...).
Release notes are at http://blog.golang.org and
http://golang.org/doc/go1.html
http://web.mit.edu/ggo_v1.0.1/README.athena and
http://web.mit.edu/gccgo_v1.0.1/README.athena have links to online
documentation and usage instructions. Please note that the locker setup
now uses the "setup" command instead of the "add" command, i.e.
setup ggo
(for gc)
or
setup gccgo
(for gccgo)
followed by the appropriate compile or run command as explained in the
documentation. Please send questions/comments/bug reports to the
3partysw@mit.edu mailing list.
