I have installed Magicpoint on Athena for Sun, SGI, Linux. Magicpoint is
an application that allows users to generate slide shows that display on
a full screen, by authoring "slides" in a simple scripting language. It
incorporates a number of "special effects"- these are best seen by
running some of the examples in /mit/magicpoint/sample. There is also a
tutorial there, written in the scripting language. To run Magicpoint:
add magicpoint
mgp file.mgp
where file.mgp is a test file written in the Magicpoint scripting language.
Some man pages for Magicpoint and related helper apps are in text form
in directory /mit/magicpoint/docs.
