Good morning,=20
IS&T is pleased to announce that MIT Student MATLAB has transitioned to =
a Total Academic Headcount (TAH) license. This license provides students =
with more toolboxes and blocksets and also permits offline use of =
MATLAB. The TAH license also eliminates the need for customized =
installers, and students no longer need to use the Virtual Private =
Network (VPN) when using MATLAB off campus.
For instructions on installing the new MIT Student MATLAB, go to: =
http://web.mit.edu/student-matlab/ (students only; certificates =
required)
The old Student MATLAB license server will be shut down on December 20, =
2010, and students using the old MATLAB distribution will need to =
transition to the new license before that date. For details on the =
licensing changes, please see http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/x/A4B2. =
Throughout the upcoming semester, IS&T will keep the student community =
informed to minimize the impact of this transition.
Technical support for installation and use of Student MATLAB will be =
provided by The MathWorks. =20
If you have specific questions about this transition, please don't =
hesitate to ask me.
