I have updated the Cerius2 computational chemistry application, part of
the Molecular Simulations software suite on Athena, to release 4.2; this is
primarily a Materials Science release and most new functionality is in
that area. From my message announcing this to users online:
Cerius2 4.2 is now available. To run it, type "add molsim; cerius2-4.2" at the
Athena prompt. We expect to make it the default version on Athena within a
few weeks, and to delete the current default version (4.0) a few weeks
after that.
You may see a warning message about a "Card deck configuration mismatch" in
the launch window. The vendor says this is innocuous, but if you believe you
are having problems related to this please report them to the Email address
below.
Release notes highlighting new features will be made available on the
vendor's documentation Web site (http://www.msi.com/doc/) within a few
weeks of the date of this message. (use user ID: msi and password: msi-doc
to get in).
