I added the pieces needed to make Java3d work to the SGI release of
JDK 1.2.1. To try out some demos, do:
add java_v1.2.1
cd /mit/java_v1.2.1/distrib/sgi_65/demos/j3d
Then cd to one of the demo directories below (like HelloUniverse), and do
something like
java HelloUniverse
sun-j3d is a link to Sun versions of most of the demos (the code is not
identical but I didn't investigate why).
Please note- this won't be visible until the next AFS propagation from this
notice (after tonight), and that this is a developer prelease, i.e. pre-beta.
Please don't complain to me about bugs :-)
The release notes (/mit/java_v1.2.1/distrib/sgi_65/webdocs/java3d.html) say
that, among other things, sound doesn't work.
