I have updated the Cerius2 component of the Molecular Simulations
software on Athena to release 4.0 and made it the default. You will be
able to run the prior 3.8 release for a brief time (around 3 weeks) by
typing:

        add molsim
        cerius2-3.8

at the Athena prompt, after which I intend to delete it. I know of one
bug that shows up on O2s (but not Indys) running IRIX 6.5 (Athena
8.3): trying to get context-sensitive help by right clicking the mouse
on a screen location is broken- this has been reported to the vendor.

Local online HTML documentation is available, starting from URL
http://tute.mit.edu/molsim/msi_doc/index.html.

I also made the previously installed Quanta 98 component of our Molecular
Simulations Software the default (to run it, type "add molsim; quanta").
The prior version can be run for a few weeks by doing:

	add molsim
	quanta97

after which I also plan to delete it. Please report configuration
problems, if any, directly to me.

Both these applications only run on SGI.

                                         Alex
