I've updated Linux CLC Free Workbench on Athena- the upgrade product
has been renamed to CLC Free Sequence viewer and no longer works on
Suns. CLC Free Sequence viewer is an integrated Bioinformatics
application that includes alignment creation and editing, interactive
restriction site analysis, phylogenetics, integrated GenBank searches
and DNA to protein translation.
From my message to users:
CLC Free Workbench on Athena has been updated to 4.6.1 and this
version has been made the default for Linux. The product has been
renamed to CLC Free Sequence Viewer but the company says that the
functionality of the prior product has been retained. see the
information link about this at http://www.clcbio.com for more
information. To run it:
add clcbio
clcseqview4 &
It no longer works properly on Suns; typing:
add clcbio
clcfreewb3 &
will run the prior 3.2.2 CLC Free Workbench on Suns.
There is online help and tutorial material within the application, and
a pdf manual is at http://web.mit.edu/clcbio_v4.6.1/Free-manual_US.pdf.
