I've installed Open Office 2.3 on Athena. from my message to users:
Open Office 2.3 has been installed on Athena and is now available for
Sun and Linux. To run it now:
ooffice -ver 2.3 &
We expect to make it (or a newer update) the default after the end of
the current semester.
In the default configuration, it uses the same local configuration
directory structure used by prior 2.x versions, an architecture-specific
tree for Sun or Linux pointed to by a ~/.openoffice.org2 symlink by
default.
