Macromedia has released beta Netscape plugins to support Shockwave
Flash on Solaris and Linux. I've installed the plugins in the outland
locker. If you use 'netscape-4.5' or 'netscape-beta' from the outland
locker, you will automatically use these plugins on supported platforms.
If you run 'netscape' from the infoagents locker (or from dash),
then you need to set the environment variable NPX_PLUGIN_PATH to
"/mit/outland/arch/@sys/lib/plugins". After doing so, you should be
able to view Shockwave Flash items on Solaris, Linux, and NetBSD.
(Sorry, no Irix plugin yet.)
Shockwave Flash is a web standard for vector graphics and animation.
