I've installed ParaView on Athena for Sun and Linux. To run it:

	add paraview
	paraview

From my message to users:

ParaView is a 3d graphical data analysis and visualization application
that can be run in a variety of modes, though the only one currently
supported on Athena is as a standalone application.

It uses Tcl/Tk as scripting language, is extensible and can read data
in a variety of data formats. The underlying data processing and
rendering engine is based on the Visualization Toolkit.

Documentation is sparse because the authors decided to write a manual
in book form and offer it for sale at textbook prices. See:
http://www.kitware.com/products/paraviewguide.html if you are interested
in getting it.

There are pointers to various free tutorials at
http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaView_2.X_documentation_and_tutorials

Help -> Play Demo will display many of its capabilities.
