I've updated the Eclipse software development environment on Athena to 3.2.
To run it:
add eclipse-sdk
eclipse &
For a limited time the prior 3.1 version can be launched like this:
eclipse -ver 3.1 &
From my message to users:
Eclipse on Athena has been updated to release 3.2.0 and has been made the
default.
Please read file /mit/eclipse-sdk_v3.2/README.athena in the
eclipse-sdk_v3.2 locker for important information about workspace
configuration and extra plugins installed.
IMPORTANT: read the file above before running File -> Switch Workplace.
The Java version used depends on the "current" link in the
java locker- at this writing, 1.5.0_04. We expect to update this
shortly to 1.5.0_08
