I've installed Matlab 7.1 on Athena. From my message to users:
Matlab 7.1 has been installed on Athena (they also call it R14 Service
Pack 3). Many of the Toolboxes have been updated (use Matlab "ver"
command for versions).
Release notes are available in the internal help system, or at the
Mathworks Web site:
http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/base/relnotes/
To run it now:
add matlab
matlab -ver 7.1
It will not be made the default version until after the end of the current
semester.
The license server will now time out a checked-out license after 4
hours of inactivity. It will reissue a license (presuming one is
available, which is very likely on Athena) when you resume working.
Please let us know if you encounter significant problems or bugs by
writing to the 3partysw@mit.edu mailing list.
On a related note, this version will eventually propagate to the
Student Matlab Windows and Mac installers, but probably not until the
end of the current semester.
