I've updated Singular on Athena to 3.0.0 for Sun and Linux. Singular
is a computer algebra system for polynomial computations. To run it:
add singular
Singular (for command-line interface)
ESingular (for Emacs interface)
Typing help; at the Singular prompt will launch the internal help system,
which can also be accessed externally at
http://web.mit.edu/singular_v3.0/distrib/Singular/3-0-0/html/index.htm
