I've updated Mathematica on Athena to 5.1. From my announcement to users:
Mathematica 5.1 has been installed on Athena for Sun and Linux machines. You
can run it now by typing "add math", followed by:
mathematica -ver 5.1 & (for the GUI interface)
math -ver 5.1 (for the TTY interface)
For new features follow the "What's New in 5.1" link on the opening splash
screen. We are planning to make it the Athena default during IAP 2005.
Mathematica 5.1 notebooks and configuration files should be backward
compatible with earlier versions, but to avoid any potential cross-version
problems we've put user's local Mathematica 5.1 files in a separate
.Mathematica.5.1 directory in your home directory (pointed to by a
.Mathematica symbolic link).
