I've updated TeXmacs on Athena to 1.0.4 and made it the default. TeXmacs is
a "scientific word processor" that has the ability to incorporate scientific
formulae and data plots in a document that displays in rendered, WYSIWYG form.
From my message to users:
TeXmacs on Athena has been updated to 1.0.4 and is now the default. To run the
older 1.0.0 release now:
add texmacs
texmacs -ver 1.0.0
maxima and scilab can be run from within TeXmacs by running:
Insert -> session -> Maxima or Insert -> Session -> Scilab respectively.
A manual in pdf format is accessible from /mit/texmacs_v1.0.4/man.pdf, in
addition to the online help.
