I have installed the latest Sun C and FORTRAN compilers on Athena. To
access them, do "add sunsoft_v4.0" (instead of the usual "add sunsoft").
The C compiler is called "suncc", as before.

I have also installed Sun Answerbooks for both compilers and
SPARCworks. To access them, do "set_answerbook" after attaching the
locker. You may need to pick these from the "Modify Library" box the
first time you use them. Using the Answerbook browser is a bit
idiosyncratic as it was meant to be run on a different Window Manager
than mwm. In particular, there is no "exit" selection- you need to choose
the mwm "Kill program" menu selection from the upper left corner window
button. Depending on the machine you are on, you may also notice that the
hyperlink selection boxes are somewhat misaligned form the selection
rectangles- on my machine they are about a half rectangle width below
the rectangle outline.

Please consider this locker in "evaluation mode"- I don't guarantee
uniterrupted service because we are using a new, domain-based licensing
system that Sun is still having problems with. It won't become the default
until at least next Summer. At the moment it's best to let me know directly
if there appear to be problems.

                                            Alex
