There is a third option if all you want to accomplish is to make sure all
the recommended sun patches are installed: Have private system packs in the
sipb cell.  This means that a) your private copy of the os is shared
between all three servers and you only have to update it once, and b) you
can stick it on afs disks without hammering on abstraction barriers.

Also, remember that even if we turn out not to need additional hardware for
new-rosebud, we _will_ need it when we upgrade ronald-ann and reynelda, as
they only have 500MB internal disks, and all of the space on their external
disks is spoken for.
