I tried starting the backup again, after power cycling btc and both tape
drives. It got through 115 of about 475 volumes (about 3 gig) before
claiming that there was an I/O error (no more specific message given) and
asking for the next tape to be put in (it said something like "assuming
end-of-tape"). This probably means that either the tape is dead (it's
tape 2) or there's something wrong with the drive.
Can someone mention this up at tonight's meeting? It means that it's
been two weeks since the last successful backup (3/17).
Also, can someone try to look into this? I guess I'll try starting
another tape if nobody else does something about this soon, and see if
the tape drive is working properly.
