AFS maintainers,
At one point some time ago (about 1.5 years or so) I wanted to learn
more about AFS and was told to ask again later, that we already had as
many sipb cell AFS administrators that we needed. I've asked individual
maintainers a few times since them, and hear the same thing, although
a few other people have been added. The other argument that has been
discussed is that sipb cell AFS is a production service, so people should
not learn AFS administration on it. I have already learned some AFS
administration in the zone cell (and participated in the migration from
the DECstation servers), but I don't feel that the zone cell is
appropriate for learning more than very simple AFS maintainence. (Nothing
in the zone cell happens unless someone causes it to happen for their
own purposes.)
So, may I be a sipb cell AFS admin?
