Okay, here is a draft of SIPB service needs for this fiscal year:
NEEDS
-----
AFS Sparc 5, four 4GB disks
RTFM One four 4GB disk
News Four 2GB disks, two SCSI controllers
We may have more needs as we look into the current
resource problems on beacon, but we don't know what
the bottleneck is currently, if there is one.
WANTS

AFS Sparc 5, four 4GB disks
Discuss/NFS More disk space
WWW Memory for anxiety-closet
A small amount of additional disk space for
anxiety-closet
A new machine
The "wants" list is not really in a prioritized order. I think a
Sparc 5 to replace rosebud is more important than a new web server
machine, and the other three items are pretty cheap and don't really
need to be prioritized.
Let me know if any of you have objections to this list.
