See [1539] in charon-maint. I will freely admit that this was
probably the item that least resembled consensus, and I attempted to
be as noncommittal as possible when mentioning it.

The reason why I put it on the want list (fairly far down) is that, as
jweiss mentioned in charon-maint [1482]:
1) ASO is planning on upgrading as many of our DEC servers as
we have time to get to this fiscal year
Basically, it will become increasingly difficult to support services
on DEC hardware as time goes on. It's not a performance or stability
issue (although Solaris 2.5.1 does support NFSv3, which might be
nice).
