It was deleted before 1992 if it ever existed. I have some
reason to believe it may have existed or have been suposed to exist in
1989. Anyway, it's fairly unlikely that we have backups of your
directory from that time point or that you really care about the data
then if you haven't accessed it in the last four years. If you want
us to look through retired tapes and see if we have something from a
time period when you had useful data, we can try, but your chances of
success are somewhat limited.
I will recreate your SIPB volume and set up ownership. It
should be available by tomorrow .
The default permissions for SIPB AFS directories allow reading
by anyone; we have a document on AFS permissions in /mit/sipb/doc/iAFS
that should cover how to change this.
For sipb-afsreq people, see transaction 676 for why I believe
the directory was not present in 1992. Note he now has a Kerberos
principal.
