At about 3:24pm today, client machines lost contact with the file
server on rosebud2.  "bos status" on rosebud2 reported that the file
server was running normally, but Yonah said that "vos status" didn't
come back with a response.  At this point, the console on rosebud2 was
responding normally, I could log in, could ping other hosts, etc.  I
returned to the office and attempted to restart the fs instance
remotely, but received a "communications failure (-1)".  I went back
to the machine room to try to restart the fs instance locally, but
found that rosebud2's console was unresponsive (after responding to an
initial return), and that although I could ping the machine, it
wouldn't respond to "finger" or much of anything else.

So I rebooted rosebud2.  These files were lost in the salvage:
