I've recently rebuilt the SIPB.STUDLY kernel, incorporating patches in
the latest athena release. I've turned off FULLDUMPS (as it served
no apparent purpose other than creating non-sparse crash dumps) and
made a few other changes: maxusers 72, maxuprc 128, physmem 100,
primarily. Multicast, packetfilter, and bba (maxine) audio support
are also included. It should boot on 3100s as well as maxines.
Booted and tested on yaz (thanks Stan). Would someone like to install
it on hodge-podge and various maxine server machines?
BTW the kernel lives in
/afs/sipb.mit.edu/project/kernel/ultrix.77/sys/MIPS/SIPB.STUDLY/vmunix
