Is there a reason this is preferable to restoring from the backup made
on Tuesday night (e.g., have there been a lot of changes to source
code since then)? The volume restore would preserve any special acls.

I'd suggest asking Lorraine to call as soon as possible tomorrow
morning and try to cancel the new order (news disks) to R Squared.

This seems much less complicated, much less disruptive, and much
faster than the other options. Also, perhaps more importantly, door
number 3 was always my favorite on the game show "Let's Make a Deal".
