REMINDER : no meeting in December. Happy Holidays!
The next full MIT OS/2 USERS GROUP meeting is January 20, at 5pm
in room 4-231 (room 2-105 is not available, sorry).
For an IAP project, it has been suggested that we develop a huge, silly
multimedia application for MMPM/2, and get it mastered on CD-ROM (which
can be done for about $2 a piece). If you are interested in working on
any aspect of this project, please let me know (full reports will be
given at the above meeting for the casually interested). We will be
meeting a number of times during IAP to organize this project, starting
with a brainstorming session to figure out just what-the-heck we think
we are doing. Contact me for more info.
Other suggested IAP projects include porting MITnet software, and
finishing the anti-aliased TeX DVI preview Jon and James started. Other
suggestions are still welcome (it's not even December yet! :-).
If you would be interested in buying a copy of the November "Hobbes"
ftp.cdrom.com site CD-ROM of OS/2 free/share/PDware from Walnut Creek,
we can place a group order and get them for $10-$12. Contact me.
For those of you who haven't heard, Wordperfect has stopped all
development on its announced WP 6.0 for OS/2. This may be seen as a
major blow to the future of OS/2. Everyone is encouraged call and
complain. The suggested number is 1-800-321-1230.
I have copies of the "HAL-PC SHOOTOUT - OS/2 vs Win NT" video. Email me
and I will send you one through interdepartmental mail.
Be sure to check out our ad on page 4 of this month's VooDoo!
Again, please let me know what kinds of topics you want to hear about so
we can plan a full set of interesting (well-attended) meetings for 1994.

PS: Saturday, I saw a copy of the "OS/2 for Windows" CD-ROM in the
Prudential center "Software Etc" store for $39. Cool.
