In response to great demand, the MIT OS/2 USERS' GROUP has created an
electronic mailing list to foster discussion between users of OS/2 at
and around MIT. The name of the list is "OS2partners@mit.edu". Feel
free to use this list to ask questions, resolve problems, and to share
with others your successes with OS/2.
This list is meant to compliment the "OS2@mit.edu" list, which is a
low-volume, announcements-only list for publicizing events and meetings
of the ever-popular MIT OS/2 USERS' GROUP.
"OS2partners" is a public list, so you may add yourself using listmaint
or blanche (or send requests to klund@mit.edu or owner-os2@mit.edu). It
will also be archived in the now all-but-defunct OS/2 Discuss meeting,
charon.mit.edu:/usr/spool/discuss/os2d.
The MIT OS/2 USERS' GROUP is dedicated to exploiting the full 32-bit
power of IBM's "Integrating Platform". Emphasizing technical issues,
software development and advanced-user presentations, this new group is
commited to finding practical solutions to real-world problems using OS/2.
Nevertheless, all levels of users are cordially invited, from the "just
curious" to the "power programmer".
To learn more about the MIT OS/2 USERS' GROUP, come to our next meeting,
Thursday, October 21 at 5pm, in room 4-231. There will be short
presentations by other members on OS/2 Compilers, Networking, Math
Packages, and 24-bit Video Support. (Topics subject to change.) Or
contact me for more information (volunteers to give presentations and
write for our newsletter are strongly encouraged).

(Please note, the name, "OS2partners", is a play-on-words. It is not
meant as a replacement for, in competition with, or disrespectful to the
great-and-mighty, well-supported, and better-organized "DOSpartners"
list. We are not an I/S-supported "Tech Partners" group. We are
volunteer OS/2 advocates, thus cannot promise resolution to your
questions, suggestions, and problems. But, we will try to be as helpful
and friendly as we can.)
