Warp Pre-release crashed during install

when i tried to install the prerelease of warp, the install process crashed
after the first reboot to a desktop screen while a window saying something
like "initializing install program" was up. the effect was a general lock up
of the entire system. the install program worked when i removed my NE2000
ethernet card... is this the install bug they found in warp during production?
