I have two questions about the Prerelease of Warp and how it will relate to the
full blown version.
First. I noticed that the prerelased version did not come with Win-OS2, but
required original diskettes. Will the full blown version come with Win-OS2, for
those people the got a Full blown version of 2.1 (as opposed to OS/2 of
Windows) and those who will be preloading OS/2 Warp. If IBM will not be
supplying a copy of WINOS2, then is it possible to use the previous version of
WINOS2, a copy that is already installed without floppy disks, etc. Basically,
What is the deal with WINOS2 and Warp.
Secondly, When I installed the prerelease on a friend machine, (I don't have a
computer here yet) I used a Dell version of Windows. He has a clone that he
piece3d together from scratch, and it has a Am486 DX/2 66 CPU. Now, When ever
we ran windows, we either got a Multimedia error, which crashed the system, of
crashed the system. Either way the system crashed when we started a Windows
program. Is that because we a) used a third party version of Windows, b) have a
cheep CPU, c)some combination there of, or d) something totally unrelated.
Will the full version of Warp fix these problems? I hope so.
