There are a couple questions I need to know the answer to...  

What version of TCP/IP for OS/2 are you using?  Which telnet client are you 
using?  What host are you attempting to connect to?  (athena.dialup.mit.edu? 
something else?  express?  athena-x?)  

I'm not familiar with this problem, and I hope I will be able to track its 
cause down...
