Kent,
our research group has used OS/2 since 1.0. Since I use it all
the time, I wrote a custom HTTP server for OS/2 that connects to
a DB2/2 database. We are currently using it to act as an electronic
card catalog of CSE papers available via anonymous FTP (or HTTP or
whatever) and a mini-repository of patent info. Requests from the clients
are parsed and looked up in the DB to see if they should be serviced
via a file or an SQL query. It works pretty well, IMHO.

I am not sure about being able to give it away right now because of
research funding issues, but if you want to include it in the OS/2
home page that you are building, it can be found by connecting to:
http://pclsys64.dcrl.nd.edu/.

It also supports gopher directly as an additional protocol.
