First of all, the name of the "retail outlet" that IBM gave me was Compucom,
which oddly enough had a 225 number, at which there was no answer. The name,
of course, is not listed in the white or yellow pages.
In a third call to IBM, they told me that retail outlets will not be carrying it
until the end of April. As for ordering it directly from IBM, I don't want to
wait for several weeks to buy it. I have a friend who should have it
by then, which will allow a better look at it before I decide to buy.
As for MCC, do they offer student discounts on special upgrades from IBM?
I was under the impression that they did not.
