Dear sir / Madam
Greetings from Ireland and Acquire90, =
firstly I would like to tell you something about myself and the =
Acquire90 project. my name is Lynne Cooper and I work along with David =
and Michael, we all come from north Belfast in Northern Ireland, This =
part of Belfast is renowned for being one of Northern Irelands biggest =
trouble spots, and also the worst unemployment area. We started =
Acquire90 in February 1999 and we have just went live on 9th September =
this was quite an achievement as none of us had any previous experience =
or knowledge=20
in either computers or indeed the internet. my aim was solely to create =
opportunities for myself as a disabled person as I suffer from =
endometriosis and fibromyalgia, However because of David's unique ideas =
and Michael's art & design background we have now came to a point where =
on a small scale we can help others in the position we found ourselves. =
Using our small amount of equipment we help them learn how to use the =
computer and also build their own web pages so they may use this skill =
to start their own business
it is unfortunate that we can only help 2 people for 12 weeks, as we are =
so small we do not qualify for government help.=20
