This fall the University of Maryland, Baltimore County is offering the course, 
"The Online Classroom (EDUC 641)"

This course is part of UMBC's graduate program in Instructional Systems Development Training 
Systems.  Take the course by itself, or use it as a springboard to complete a letter of certification in 
distance education in just three semesters.

The Internet, the online classroom, and computer-based instruction are increasingly being used as 
teaching tools for workforce training and development.  This three-credit course examines various 
aspects of computer-mediated communication and instruction.  From the theoretical to the practical, 
you will explore a broad range of distance education issues and applications.
