Hi..
My name is Cheryl and I am the Webmaster of a new OS/2 page called
Focus on OS/2. It is located at http://os2.miningco.com. I am writing to
you as you were listed as a contact person for a user group or user group
web page.
I am writing to you for a few reasons. First off to tell you about my
new page and ask that you check it out and if you feel it is worthwhile
add it to your page. Secondly because I am doing an article in the near
future about OS/2 User groups and am gathering all the information I can.
I do not have the time to cruise all the web pages and dig up the
necessary information and chances are I would not be able to find all the
information the group wants listed. So I am emailing everyone I can and
asking them to put together an information email message for me. I would
like it to include the usual user group information stuff.. What the group
is about, what they offer, what the dues are, etc etc.. But I would also
like a couple of other things. Be able to link to whatever newsletter you
put out and also get a little private insight into the group.. If there is
anything you would like to put in the article that might help you ge more
members or whatever. I would also like to know what your user group has to
offer (if anything) to people who are not local to your group. A lot of
the groups out there look nice but are not local so people do not think
they should become members. Does your group offer something special that
would make those people want to join??
Alll that is totally up to you. If you would like to be in my article
send me whatever you want and I will work with what you give me. Also if
your group is no longer active and/or you know of someone who did not get
this email from me but would be interested please feel free to pass this
along to them.
