i found them just fine.  i have os2 machines that needed 509 drivers.
on ftp.3com.com, 3c5x9x.exe was the name of the file, in
/adapters/drivers.  it's there, and the 3c509.sys file is in there, i
confirmed this with a guy at 3com.
