This is an exciting day for OS/2 users at MIT. With MIT's licensed
LanWorkplace for OS/2 now available, OS/2 machines should be popping up
on the net all over MIT. There will certainly be a lot of questions and
discussion over how to configure the software to get going on MITnet
with the OS/2 (our favorite operating system).
This note is just a reminder about the mailing lists available at MIT
for users of OS/2.
*** <os2@mit.edu> is an announcements-only list, for MIT OS/2 announcements
(like the next users group meeting, and new software availability).
*** <os2partners@mit.edu> is a discussion group, appropriate for discussing
software settings, driver availability, and bug workarounds :-). The
current discussion about 3com cards is more appropriate there.
*** Everything sent over these lists is archived in our Discuss(tm)
meeting, "os2d" on charon.mit.edu. To catch up, check it out.
Anyway, please check your cc: lines before sending mail, and make sure
that you send mail to <os2@mit.edu> only if you have a bona fide
announcement to make. Followups and flames to <os2partners@mit.edu>.
Reminder : USERS GROUP MEETING THURSDAY FEB 17, 5PM, ROOM 2-105.
